Diet Review – The Truth About Six Pack Abs

Comments : No Comments - December 21st,

This site has been looking at a lot of weight loss diets recently so i thought it was time to do something different. This review looks at a product that is meant to get you a flat, muscular stomach whether you are a woman or a man. It is supposed to finally get rid of that stubborn belly fat and spare tyre, what foods you are eating that are totally wrong and the only exercises that really will help you tone your stomach.

The Truth About Six Pack Abs (TTASPA)

The truth about six pack abs is 106 pages of unique and very useful content. Everything that is promised in the book can be accomplished by anyone who is motivated and will stick with it. But of course, its not easy to be motivated for a long period of time. Do not worry if you have a lot of weight to lose – this is not just about toning, this is about losing weight in a different way to most of the diets reviewed here.

And whilst i agreed with most of the content ( i have read this e-book, and been on the course for only two weeks so far), i did not like how it said that long term diets do not work. I presume this was just a way of promoting TTASPA and so i ignored it and i would urge you to as well.

The exercises in the manual do not require you to go to the gym and really do work. I was aching a lot the day after i began. I did have to invest in a pair of dumbbells that i ordered of amazon, to make the most of certain exercises.

I have only lost a couple of pounds so far since begining these exercises, but i have gained some muscle. I have to do my belt up an extra notch now and as such, i am very happy with the two pounds of weight loss as muscle weighs more than fat anyway.

The truth about this book is, it will work but it is not a short cut to getting a six pack. It will get you there but not for a few months, and even that would depend on your starting weight.

What you would really gain from this ebook is a fantastic foundation for bewing able to maintain a near perfect body for the rest of your life. There are literally dozens of work out options for you to choose from that would suit both beginner and intermediates. It will give you a decent diet plan telling you what to eat and what to avoid. (eg protien in, fat out).

I will be sticking with this diet, but it does have a couple of problems. As i mentioned earlier, i do not like how it dismisses long term diets, when the whole thing with TTASPA is long term exercise and diet anyway. The other problem it has is the price – almost  $40. Yes, it probably is worth it but i dont have a clue why it couldnt have been a bit less.

Ignoring the price. it actually compares favorably with other fat loss diets such as Fat Loss for Idiots, with the advantage of it getting your stomach toned as well as helping you lose fat.

What is the best way to lose belly fat ?

What is the best way to lose belly fat?

I have been looking for a way to lose belly fat for some time now. It is my problem area. I don’t just put a lot of my fat on to my tummy, i put nearly all of it there! And i’m sure I am not the only one. Unfortunately that is down to my genetics – different people put weight on in different areas. I have a friend who is constantly struggling to lose fat on her arms – it’s an on going battle with weights, aerobics and diets. She is jealous of my arms, and I am jealous of her abs. That’s just the way it goes. So I eat too much, and I get belly fat – what can I do about it?

The best way to lose belly fat

After years of gaining belly fat, then losing it, then gaining it… you get the picture – I have found out that the only thing you can do is to not aim to lose your belly fat! Instead you must simply look at losing weight in general. It is not possible to choose an area to lose weight from. You can not aim for you arms, stomach, butt or anywhere else. When you lose weight your body pulls out fat from all around your body. You can aim to tone and put muscle on in certain areas though. If your main exercise is sit-ups, it is not going to strip that fat from your stomach – it will pull it from all over you. So the only way to lose that belly, is to lose fat all over! That might not be a bad thing!

If you start doing sit ups and crunches you are going to develop great abs! This is a good thing, but only once you lose the layer of fat that is covering your abs at the moment. Build muscle without losing fat, and all you are doing is building muscle under your fat. This is going to push out your fat slightly more, and if anything make you look a little fatter. What you need to do is tone your abs – sit ups, crunches, whatever works for you – and also do plenty of aerobic exercise! If you do both you are going to have an amazing body revealed under the fat.

So is there a best way to lose belly fat?

As I talked about in the previous section, what you need to do is aim to lose weight – any weight! Exercise is really going to help, but don’t forget to diet, or at least eat healthy, or all that exercise is not going to help you at all. Here are some handy tips to help you lose that stubborn fat!

- Lose the fried food

- Take a brisk walk everyday

- Take the stairs instead of the elevator

- Replace chips/sweets with an apple/banana

- Don’t snack after dinner (your body slows down at night so cant burn off late night snacks)

- Eat high fiber foods – they will fill you up for longer!

- Eat negative calorie foods – I dare you to try putting on weight by binging on celery!

Just remember, don’t put too much pressure on yourself. Aim to lose weight slowly by making life style changes. It’s tough to starve yourself for long!

List of Negative Calorie Foods – Lose Weight by Eating

Any food that makes you lose more calories than you put on just by eating them are no good for an entire diet, (it would result in malnutrition) but as snack foods these things can be fantastic. These foods are also known as negative calorie foods. Usually it means the foods have calories, but so few of them that your body spends more than it gains eating and digesting them.

Celery – Quick example

Celery is a fantastic snack food. A single stick of celery contains around 4-6 calories. You will use about 10-12 eating it. Fresh celery tastes great, can be eaten raw with no preparation and will fill you up (eventually) as it contains lots of water – a great appetite suppressant.

List of Negative Calorie Foods

Berries (certain berries such as blue berries at least)

Cabbage

Celery

Cucumber

Garlic

Grapefruit

Grapefruit

Green beans

Hot Chilli’s

Lemon

Lettuce

Radish

Spinach

Tomato

Turnip

Water Melon

Cardboard (its edible just about, is negative in calories but really not recommended!)

These are most of the negative calorie foods. There are others people claim are negative calories, such as apples , peaches and plums but it seems unlikely considering they usually contain around 100 calories.

Try and replace sweets with sticks of celery, puddings with a slice of watermelon, your usual snacks with a slight salad made up of a few of the above, etc.  If you do this it will really be a bonus to your diet. Just remember not to replace proper meals with them!

Wii Fit Review – Is it worth it – will you actually lose weight and get fitter?

Comments : No Comments - December 13th,

I bought WIi Fit a few months ago, and i love it. Infact the only person who likes it more than me is my girlfriend.

But liking it is one thing, losing weight on it is another. And have i lost any weight using it? Yes! But not so much from the exercise routines it has, but more from the encouragement, the daily weigh ins and the targets it sets for me. Now arguably you don’t need to spend so much on an exercise plan and fancy scales, but i am glad i did.

For the first 1-2 months i had it i set up a goal of 12 pounds to lose, so not too much. I started to use it daily for exercises and toning routines as well as weighing my self each morning. Fantastic i thought. And it was, and i quickly started to become aware of every bit of exercise i did off the board, and every bit of food i was eating. I wanted to make sure i pleased the game and didn’t put on any weight. Infact, if you do you get told off and have to tell it why you have put on weight!

In those initial months i lost almost a stone and was very pleased. But the truth is, by that time i had become bored with the same old games and routines, and from then on only used it as a weigh in, a target setting device and a form of encouragement. If a Wii Fit 2 game was released, or download content added, i would start getting back on it for exercise reasons, but as it is i dont think i will.

So is it worth it? Yes, definitely, but you will probably get bored with it after a while – and really like any diet or exercise – you need to stick with it.  Considering when i join a gym that only lasts for about 3 weeks for me, Wii Fit did very well.

Another good idea is to join a community site, such as www.wiifitspace.com where you can keep a blog and share your results and regimes with other people. This may help you get more life out of it.

I definitely recommend giving it ago if you have been thinking about it at all, even though it is expensive, especially if you have to buy the Nintendo Wii as well.
